ITINERARY

DAY 1 – Arrival in Istanbul

You will arrive to the New Istanbul Airport. Here, you will meet your warm travel agent employee to get a transfer to your authentic hotel. You will stay in Istanbul for that night.

DAY 2 – Istanbul

On this day of your private tour, you will visit the Byzantine Relics. When you travel to Turkey, you can see different cultures across the country. Byzantine culture is one of them. You will start your tour with the Hippodrome at the middle of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Cisterns. Here, you will see the Serpentine Columns and Egyptian Obelisk. You will also visit the nearby Wilhelm German fountain. You will take your lunch in a local restaurant. Next, you will go to Chora Museum also known as Kariye Museum to see the amazing Byzantine frescoes. Your tour will end in the Basilica Cistern known as the Yerebatan Cistern. After having your dinner, you will spend the night in Istanbul.

DAY 3 – Istanbul

On this day in Istanbul when you travel to Turkey, you will start your amazing tour after having your breakfast. After a short drive, you will see it is worth travelling Turkey. You will visit Dolmabahçe Palace with an amazing Bosporus view. The interior decoration of the palace is impressive with 14-ton gold ornaments. The rich and comprehensive collection includes paintings, furniture and Bohemian crystals. Also, this palace has a Harem section where you can see other important collections. You will have your lunch at a local restaurant.Next, you will go to Kabatas pier to start your 2-hour private Bosporus Tour. After having your dinner, you will spend the night in Istanbul.

DAY 4 – Istanbul – Sanliurfa

Early morning flight to Sanliurfa. Arrival and meeting at the airport . In Sanliurfa, you will start your tour from Mevlid Halil Mosque, the Cave of Prophet Abraham. After these places, you will go to the sacred fish pool. Today, you will give free time in the Old Bazaar. Then, you will drive to Harran which is known as the city Abraham the Prophet. Here, in your travel to Turkey, you will visit the fortress, the Islamic school complex and houses with interesting architecture. You will go to Kahta and stay here for the night.

DAY 5 – Sanliurfa – Gaziantep – Hatay

Explore Turkey with private Turkey tours. First, we will have breakfast and head to the road to Gobeklitepe, the very first settlement area of the world. It is over 12 thousand years old, and it has been said that it marks the Garden of Eden. We will drive to Hatay through Gaziantep. You can observe the fortress that has 36 towers, which were built in the Justinian era in Gaziantep. Later we will visit the Gaziantep Zeugma Museum, one of the most important mosaic museums globally. We will next visit the old town. After we drive back to Hatay to spend the night passing through the Euphrates River, we will stop at Birecik, known for the Bald Ibis. Stay here for the night.

DAY 6 – Hatay ( Antioch)

Join us and explore Turkey with guided Turkey trip plans. Antioch is the place where believers were first called “Christians,” says the Bible. We will visit the cave, where they met in secret. We will explore the leaders’ influence there, şncluding Ignatius of Antioch and John Chrysostom. We will get to the partially closed mosaic museum and spend the night in Hatay.

DAY 7 – Hatay – Tarsus – Cappadocia

Explore Turkey with Turkey tours in Hatay. We will get on the road in the early morning to get to the birthplace of Apostle Paul, Tarsus. We will be visiting the Gate of Cleopatra, the Apostle Paul’s Well, and the excavation. The archeological remains of Seleucia will be waiting for us to visit. Then we will get on the road to Cappadocia. We will stop on the road to visit the Rock-hewn Monastery of Eski Gumusler. We will spend the night in Cappadocia.

DAY 8 – Cappadocia

Cappadocia is an important place among the Turkey tourism destinations. You will start your tour with Kaymaklı Underground City. This underground city is considered as an interesting underground settlement in Cappadocia. From there, you will go to Sahinefendi (Sobesos). Here, you will see Mosaic Art and Archaeological excavation site from the Byzantine Period. The valley villages with mountains around them gives us a spectacular view. Our next stop will be Keslik Monastery near Cemil. The ancient frescos are hidden behind a smoke layer. Here, you will visit Mustafapaşa (Sinasos) which is an old Roman town with its old houses. These houses are the great examples of late Roman settlements and architecture in the region. Our next stop will be the Red Valley. The valley consists of incredible volcanic rock formations. This valley is at the centre of Cappadocia. Still, the valley is not overcrowded by tourists. You will spend the night at Cappadocia.

DAY 9 – Cappadocia

After breakfast, you will continue to discover Cappadocia. You will go to Devrent valley to see the rock formations. You will go back in time with troglodyte houses. Then, you will visit Pasabag which has “fairy chimneys”. Here, you can even hear the “songs of fairies” near Zelve. You will take your lunch in Avanos which is the centre of red pottery since 3000 BC. Here, you will witness the traditional pottery craftsmanship. In the afternoon, you will go to Goreme Open Air Museum. The museum is home to incredible examples of the Byzantine art in Cappadocia. There are churches carved in the rocks with frescoes and paintings created betyouen the 10th and the 13th century. Our next stop in your tour will be Uchisar Rock-Castle which gives a panoramic view of the Cappadocian valleys. You will stay in Cappadocia for the night.

DAY 10 – Cappadocia – Ephesus – Pergamon – Thyatira – Izmir

After breakfast transfer for flight to Izmir. Arrival and continue Private Travel Turkey. We will drive to Pergamum after we ate our breakfast. Pergamum Ancient City is one of the Seven Churches of Asia sites. There are many things to explore in Pergamum, which can be listed as follows: Acropolis, Steepest theatre of the world, Asklepieion, Ancient medical center , Altar of Zeus , Marble Columns of Temple of Trajan, Ancient Library, Red Basilica. After we continue with Thyatira, today known as Akhisar, Thyatira is another of the Seven Churches of Asia, a city known for purple dyes. Then we will visit some remaining from the Roman periods and basilica. Lastly, we will see the panoramic view of Smyrna. Smyrna has a rich history full of legends, and then we will check-in in a hotel in Izmir. Then we will visit Mount Pagus and the Citadel of Lysimachos. Our last destination on this tour will be the Clock Tower, and then we will get back to the hotel to have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 11 – Izmir – Sardis – Philadelphia – Laodicea – Hierapolis

Meet a Turkey travel tour İzmir. The tour will start in the early morning at Sardis, a part of Asia’s Seven Churches. Sardia is today known as Part, and it was the capital city of the Lycian Union in the 6th century. The next destination will be the great Temple of Artemis and the Temple of Cybele, which later transformed into a Byzantine Church. Our schedule also includes visits to ancient Lydian houses, a gymnasium, and a Synagogue. We will have the opportunity to see a part of the Royal Persian Road. Our tour will continue at Philadelphia, or as known as Alaşehir, today. Philadelphia is another church of the seven churches of Asia Minor. You can observe byzantine basilica remains. Then, our destination will be the Hierapolis, or also known as Pamukkale, the “cotton fortress.” Pamukkale is known for the mineral water and cliffs that create channels, pools, and stalactites, and they are therapeutic. While we are there, we will visit the Apostle Philip’s Martyrdom, the place where he was martyred—continuing with Laodicea (Denizli), another of the Seven Churches of Asia Minor. We will visit the ancient theatre and basilica remains, ancient stone water pipes, the Gate of Domitian, and the Arcadian Way, the Nymphaion, the Temple of Apollo, The Plutonium, and the Necropolis. We will check in at the hotel to have dinner and spend the night at a thermal hotel.

DAY 12 – Ephesus

Explore Turkey with private Turkey tours. We will drive to Ephesus to explore Ephesus Ancient City, the Basilica of St. John, and the Ephesus Archeological Museum. The Apostle Paul lived here for a short while, and the church also gets a letter from him. Then we explore the remaining and ruins in which the excavations still take place. We will stroll around the marble streets, between public buildings. Here are some of the buildings that you will see : Baths of Scholastica, The Library of Celsus, The Temple of Hadrian, The Theater, The Temple of Diana of the Ephesians. Next, we will get to St. John Basilica and Ephesus Archeological Museum, followed by the House of Virgin Mary. Then we will drive to Kusadası to spend the night there.

DAY 13 – Kusadasi- Istanbul
