ITINERARY

Your journey begins with a 10:00 AM pick-up from your Cappadocia hotel, and your initial destination will be The St. Mercurius Underground City. Nestled in central Turkey, this underground city is steeped in historical significance and boasts a mystical atmosphere. With its captivating historical and architectural features, this subterranean complex draws numerous visitors, offering them a mesmerizing voyage into the annals of history. The Saratlı excavation project commenced in 2011 and extended until 2016, resulting in the clearance and opening of three floors within the seven-floor underground settlement for tourism. During these excavations, a total of 37 graves, encompassing individuals of various ages, were discovered on the church floor. In one particular tomb situated within the church, a man and a woman were interred, one atop the other within the same sarcophagus.

As you make your way back to Cappadocia, we’ll make a stop at Öresin – Tepesidelik Han Caravanserai. Positioned on the historic Silk Road route, this caravanserai stands as one of the grand caravanserais constructed by the Seljuks at regular intervals of approximately 40 kilometers.

Following this visit, enjoy a leisurely lunch at 01:00 PM before embarking on a journey to Salt Lake, where you will be greeted by the dazzling white expanse of salt. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to create lasting memories at this remarkable salt lake.
